Release Date: 28 June 2005
The Master Photographers Association (MPA) has launched its re-designed website, www.thempa.com , and the new-look site is proving to be a hit with both the MPA members and the general public.
The public area of the site has been specifically designed to help people easily locate an MPA member in their chosen area. The search, of the 1800 members, can be conducted by geographical location and/or type of photographer required. Each member is given a free listing on the site or may pay a small fee to have their listing enhanced and made more prominent to visitors and includes additional photographs.
The members' area includes a popular Forum where members can discuss issues and share information. Each MPA region has a section where upcoming events are advertised and there is also an online shop where members can buy a variety of MPA merchandise and literature.
The website is sponsored by Fujifilm Professional and has been designed by York based agency, WPS Media.
Membership of the MPA is open to full time professional photographers both in the UK and overseas. Members have access to numerous benefits and promotions including the popular Cherubs baby photography promotion.
Members may also submit photographs to the prestigious British Professional Photography Awards run in conjunction with the British Institute of Professional Photography.
