The Master Photographers Association (MPA), in association with Epson, is hosting a series of seminars dedicated to improving photographers' digital workflow.
The sessions will be run by the multi-award winning photographers, Hossain Mahdavi and Paul Cooper. Each session will show professional photographers how they can take total control of their entire business by using a managed digital workflow.
Delegates will also get the chance to see the latest equipment from Hasselblad, Epson and GF Smith. Hasselblad will be demonstrating its new digital backs and GF Smith will show how to cut album production time and how 'magazine' style albums can be created 'in house'. Photographers will also have the chance to see Epson's new printers and the Ultrachrome K3 Inkset deliver even more stunning colour and B&W photos.
Paul Cooper explained more: "We're planning for the seminars to be really 'hands-on', not just in terms of taking pictures, but also the printing and mounting aspects of photography. My studio has managed all its own output for the past two years and it has made our business more efficient, given us greater control and has increased our profit margins. Hopefully these seminars will encourage other photographers to go down this route too."
The dates for the tour are:
Monday 26th September, Corus Hotel, Bristol
Wednesday 28th September, Hilton Hotel, Croydon
Sunday 16th October, Hilton Hotel, Coventry (Awards Weekend)
The cost for the 26th and 28th venues is £30, including lunch and refreshments, while photographers may attend the 16th October seminar for the cost of a £25 Weekend Seminar Pass, which also gives access to all other seminars and the trade show (lunch and refreshments not included).
