Amanda Davison amazed Master Photography Association (MPA) officials with her qualifying panel. It wasn't just the quality of the images that caused a stir, more the fact that Amanda had travelled to the MPA HQ in Darlington all the way from her home in Singapore to make her application in person!
Amanda has been working with respected Singapore based photographer Joseph Tan for some years and it was Tan, who is a Fellow of the MPA, who encouraged Amanda to qualify with the Association.
Linda Buck, MPA company secretary, explained how the meeting took place: "I've been having an email 'conversation' with Amanda for some time and she had mentioned that she would like to come and meet the team at Head Office, but to be honest I didn't ever think it would happen. When I got the message that Amanda was in reception I was completely bowled over. She'd brought her submission panel with her so she was able to apply and qualify at the same time. Thankfully her pictures were satisfactory and we were delighted to welcome Amanda as a Licentiate member of the MPA."
