| Release Date: 26 March 2004 Genesis, the leading London pro-lab, has reached ‘advanced stages of negotiations’ to takeover Primary Colour. Primary has been experiencing financial difficulties over the past few months and recently went into administration. Speculation has been rife that the business could cease trading. The imminent deal with Genesis will secure the future of Primary’s staff and also reassure their clients that their workflow will remain unaffected. As Genesis director Howard Lee says, the future of Primary is now in safe hands: “There are still a few details to finalise, but it is now looking very likely that Genesis will be able to announce the takeover of Primary Colour in the near future. We are looking forward to working closely with the existing staff to help us turn the business round.” It is anticipated that Primary Colour will retain their name and continue to operate from the company’s headquarters Kingsland Road, East London and its branch in Camden. Genesis’s business just off Kings Road in Chelsea will be unaffected by the takeover.
