Fujifilm Announces new lab venture
Fujifilm Professional has announced the launch of a new partnership with Leeds based pro lab, CC Imaging.
The deal will see CC Imaging becoming the new mail order Fujifilm Processing Lab. They are now responsible for the processing of all process-paid Sensia slide film and Fujifilm's other professional films when sent in Fujifilm's new pre-paid processing envelopes and also the 'Image to CD' service. The new arrangement comes into force from October 2008.
Fujifilm Professional's product manager, Russ Gunn, made this comment on the tie-in: "The Fujifilm Processing Lab has been a key part in the lives of many enthusiast and professional photographers since Fujichrome's inception in the 1980s. Photographers who choose to use the lab with the FUJIFILM name do so in the expectation of high quality processed images and prompt service, they also like to know that the manufacturer is involved in the processing of their films. We have worked closely with the team at CC Imaging to ensure that the hand-over is smooth and that the partnership will deliver the high levels of customer service that our customers expect and deserve."
CC Imaging began trading in the early 1970s and in the following decades have established themselves as one of the leading pro labs in the North of England. The company has set a high standard for modern photographic labs by marrying traditional quality and values with state of the art technology.
A new website has been launched to support the service - www.fujifilmprocessinglaboratory.co.uk - and the site includes an order tracking system that enables customers to enter their unique reference number to check the status of their order. A dedicated customer service line has also been set-up; photographers just need to call 0113 244 8221 to receive any information they may require on film processing.
The owners of CC Imaging, Mark Senior and John Weldon issued this joint comment: "We have a long standing relationship with Fujifilm and everyone at CC Imaging is looking forward to working alongside the team at Fujifilm to make the new Fujifilm Processing Lab a resounding success for all parties."
Gunn says the new venture illustrates Fujifilm's confidence in the film market: "We are dedicated to providing a quality E6 service and our sales figures show that our range of transparency films is still hugely popular. I'm sure our investment in this new lab is positive news for film users everywhere."
