Record kiosk sales from Fujifilm, plus free software upgrade offer
Fujifilm has reported 'record sales' of its acclaimed Digital Photo Centre kiosk
over the past twelve months.
The kiosks were designed specifically with the end user in mind. They're quick
and easy to use and produce consistently excellent results. The units can accept
all types of digital media including media cards, DVD, CD, Bluetooth and Infrared.
Each kiosk is loaded with Fujifilm's own SmartPix software that ensures smooth
operation for customers and a greatly reduced workload for shop staff.
Some of the many features of the Smartpix software are:
- Simple touch-screen controls make sizing, cropping, rotating and creating
easy - even for first-time users
- Customers can create huge posters or montages - with up to 26 shots on one
sheet
- A wide range of finishes and templates makes it simple to create stylish A5/A4
albums of family photos and holiday snapshots
- Additional services such as borders, extra sets, even printing on a different
paper surface can be chargeable
- Promotional codes can be set up for short run promotions or as a loyalty reward
for your best customers
The software automatically analyses and optimises each image before printing,
this gives customers superior quality photos and builds up their confidence
in their own photographic ability each time they use the system.
And there is even a Kiosk On-Line version so a photo retailer can offer the
same high standard of service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Paul Austin from Fujifilm made this statement: "Our Digital Photo Centre
kiosks have always been well received by retailers. The introduction of the
Smartpix software now means they offer a true self-service solution that frees
up valuable staff resources. We can see the multi kiosk store becoming a reality
as more and more photo retailers are investing in additional kiosks because
of the ever increasing demand from the public for prints from their digital
images."
One of the stand-out features of the Smartpix software is the ability to keep
the software bang up to date via a broadband connection to a central server.
An additional benefit of this is that the photo retailer gets access to their
own web based 'back office' to enable them to change the content and price configuration
settings and also access the all important sales data. So whether they have
a single site with one or more kiosks or a whole network of kiosks spread over
many sites, managing them all is done from just one web site.
Whether connected to a Fujifilm Frontier digital minilab in store or remotely,
used as a standalone unit connected to an ASK instant printer or even accessed
on-line the Digital Photo Centre and Smartpix software offers the flexibility
to suit every business need.
Free software upgrades
Fujifilm are encouraging all Digital Photo Centre owners to upgrade to the new
Smartpix software. All retailers who operate a Fujifilm Frontier digital minilab
are entitled to a free SmartPix software upgrade. This offer has been extended
until July 1st 2008.
