Above par performance for Fujifilm UK customers

Fujifilm held its annual Golf Day at the breathtaking St Pierre course in Cheptstow last week.

The event, organised by Fujifilm UK to thank customers for their business during the year, was a bit hit for all, with the company's newly appointed UK managing director, Mr. Mamoru Matsushita, capping his first appearance in the event by landing a stunning hole-in-one and then going on to beat the course professional.

To the relief of the organisers the rain that had dominated the previous week abated, and the 74 competitors were able to enjoy their game in warm sunshine. The players divided into 19 teams and the overall winning team was made-up of Andrew Wilson from DSGi, Ron Deprez, John Tranter and John Appleby, who all work for Fujifilm.

Organiser John Appleby paid tribute to the players: "We've organised a golf day for the past nine years and everyone agreed that this was the best yet! The standard of play was very high, with just the right balance between competition and fun. Andrew Wilson was crowned the overall winner following a great performance, so congratulations to him. 2009 will be the event's 10th anniversary so we are planning something really special to mark the event."

The day also saw the debut appearance of Fujifilm's new Volkswagen Touran, complete with full Frontier livery. The car will now feature in a series of roadshows across Britain to promote Fujifilm's newly launched Frontier DL400 dry lab. Dates for the roadshow will be confirmed shortly.
